Dr. Shibayama has been a well known and respected physician in Auburn for over 10 years.
She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and received her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley. She then earned her MD at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and returned to California to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at UC Davis. Upon obtaining her board certification in Internal Medicine, she worked at both Kaiser Permanente in Roseville and UC Davis Medical Group in Auburn before starting her own practice in 2004. Her interest in aesthetic medicine started when she began looking into lasers to improve the pigment in her own skin. Impressed by the results, she decided to add aesthetics to her practice and offer it to patients so that they too may experience healthier, more youthful looking skin.
Dr. Shibayama has received intensive training in the field of aesthetics both in laser medicine and injectable treatments. She is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery as well as the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons. She spends weeks attending conferences and seminars annually to study the most recent advancements and techniques in the field of aesthetic medicine to offer her patients.
In her spare time Dr. Shibayama enjoys spending time with her husband Scott and three dogs Keanu, Zoe, and Yoda. She also likes travelling, wine tasting, hiking, and golf.
