    What is the procedure like?
    The face is numbed with a topical anesthetic or ice, then small amounts of Radiesse® is injected with a tiny needle. Because there is lidocaine mixed in with the filler, the discomfort is minimal and results are immediate.

    What areas can be treated?
    Radiesse® is best in areas of volume loss—the cheekbones, chin, nasolabial folds between the corners of the nose and lips, and marionette lines that pull the corners of the lips down. It is also great for the backs of hands to diminish the bony and veiny look that occurs with volume loss and age.

    How long will the results last?
    Radiesse® is one of the longer lasting fillers available in the US. In general it lasts up to 10 months although many patients see results for a year or more.

    What can I expect after a treatment?
    As with all fillers, you can expect mild redness, swelling, and bruising which usually resolves after a few days. Rarely, nodules can occur.
